Speaking truth and standing up for love, justice and mercy worldwide.

Tara Teng

Johann Sebastian  Bach appended these initials at the end of each of his Cantatas scores.

for Soli Deo Gloria, to the Glory of God alone, they signified his deep devotion and his desire to serve God through his music.

In the same way, I seek to write “Soli Deo Gloria” across the pages of my life, living each moment for the glory of God. My life is a simple note in the Opus of God’s master plan musical of which we all play a part. I know that I have been called by the will of God for a plan and purpose that is greater than the dreams that I have for myself. I will stand for truth, love and justice worldwide.

If you are coming to this site to follow a Beauty Queen, be advised- “I am not a beauty queen, I am an abolitionist”. I do what I do because the world needs to know they were wrong about beauty. My cause is to amplify the voice of the marginalized, oppressed and exploited. I challenge the status quo and urge us to live outside of ourselves in remembrance of others. I am focused on raising a call for social justice and I am relentless to do everything I can to help end modern day slavery in our world today.

This is a revolution of  love and I will not rest until  the whole world hears.

With Conviction,

Tara Teng

Miss Canada 2011- a voice for justice, love and mercy worldwide.

  2. Hello Tara, our son Justin & daughter Melanie had the privilege to attend the meeting on Tuesday Feb 22 at the home of Burke & his wife.
Thank you for the information and we will support your efforts wherever we can. Our church’s youths will be at the march on March 12th.

We have sent the letter to our local MP to make him aware of the march and of freedom week.

Keep up the good work that our loving Father placed on your teams heart. This will bring freedom to those who are under the influence of others.
    God bless
    Much love

    Hi Tara,

My dad talked to my principal and he would be interested in having you come to talk to the grade six’s and seven’s at our school (in north delta). In the next 2 weeks, what dates + times would you be able to come?
I can pass the info onto him at school.

Also, I was wondering how I could get involved in helping you with your fight against human trafficing. I had some ideas on how to fundraise but is there anything else I can do?

I will be praying for you,
    -Mikela

Tara, found your blog by fluke… was actually googling info on the dalai lama! Miss Tibet somehow ended up in there, and then linked to you. There was something about your face, that made me think, she’s really a beauty queen? Not that you’re not beauiful, but it just was so apparent to me that there was something more in your eyes! I love what you’re standing up for, love your discussion of what a leader is. Time like these I wish I taught older than gr 4 so that I could really get into some of these issues with youth. You go girl, keep doing what you’re doing! And good luck with your studies!

  9. Congratulations on becoming Miss Canada. I started a charitable society in Alberta to set up a home for victims of human trafficking. We are holding a Pasta Fiesta on Jan 21 in Red Deer and would love to have you come as our guest speaker to talk about your passion for justice.

Just read your article in the Langley Times today, amazing; I’m also from Langley but I have never heard of you because I don’t follow beauty pagents as I see them, as ironic as this may sound, to be a form of human trafficking, but I applaud you for using these pagents as a platform to bring awarenss to human trafficking.
A few years ago I was made aware of this epdemic when I got involved in shutting down a website based in the Netherlands but was hosted from a webhosting company in Montreal , the operator of the site was using his site to lure young girls to contact him, and he was not ashamed to admit he was a pedophile; it took a letter that I wrote to the Netherlands Justice minister to eventually get his site closed..
Human trafficking is so widespread on the internet, as well as our streets; it’s shocking.
I also like knowing that you are on the same wavelength as myself, parents need to educate their kids on this issue, but more importantly they need to educate themselves.
And your right about opening up, what I say ” the Pandora’s Box”, to more human trafficking by legalizing prostitution, by doing that it will only up the demand, and our low age of consent law doesn’t help either.
I had a friend, when I was 11 years old, who was abducted when she was 9, and later found murdered , so I know what it’s like to lose someone, the abductor of my friend I never found out if they caught him, but I wish I did so I can have closure, I’m 51 now and every time I hear of a child gone misssing I think about my friend and the hurt cuts deep.
P.S. would love to be on board with you in this fight
