Although we moved out three weeks ago, today is the first day under new ownership for our tiny (former) home. It’s bittersweet to say goodbye to the home that built us; where we started our friendship, had our first kiss, said our marriage vows and gave birth to our baby.
So much has happened here and yet there’s a feeling of freedom to turn the page and begin again. Even though we don’t know yet where “home” will be, I’m excited for all that is yet to come!
So as we live in the in-between, here’s a quick look back at some of my favourite memories in our first home as a family.
It’s where our friendship began…
With always lots of friends around!
…And lots of love.
…And trucks, motorcycles, jeeps and cars!
We said our marriage vows here…
We’ve had a lot of family here…
…and birthed new family members here.
We grew up here.
We learned to cook here.
We learned to walk.
We dreamed big dreams.
And had lots of cuddles!
But most importantly, we became a family here.
So thank you to our tiny first home, we are so grateful for all that you have given us. We will always cherish the special moments, the funny moments, the hard moments, the times of friendship, the days of love, the nights of faithfulness and the lessons we’ve learned.
Thank you to our friend and realtor, Bronson Job, for helping make the selling process as easy as possible. And to all the family and friends who helped clean the cupboards, vacuum the floors, pack the boxes, stage the rooms and move us into a new chapter of our lives…we are so very grateful.
So now we look ahead to a new chapter with great anticipation… soon a new baby, new adventures and eventually a new home.
Moving Forward,
Tara
