Let’s face it; as women, most of us wear at least a little bit of makeup every day. For something that has become such a daily ritual in most of our lives, it only makes sense for us to seek out something that is not only good for us, but also good for the earth it comes from.

I first became introduced to Elate over a year ago when the local, Canadian company started really making waves on good ‘ol Instagram. All their products are vegan, toxin and cruelty free, gluten free and sustainable. And what made me love this company even more is that their founder, Melodie Reynolds, really embodies all that her brand stands for. She is even working towards making Elate the world’s first waste free cosmetic company and uses wildflower seed paper for much of her packaging.
It is brands and people of integrity that really captivate me.
Since then I have been an dedicated user of Elate Cosmetics. The thing I love best about their products is that, unlike other green beauty companies I have tried in the past, Elate Cosmetics is gentle on your skin yet tough enough to have the staying power to actually work, and last throughout the day! My favourite must-have products are the Creme Concealer in Buff, Vibrant Lipstick in Tantric and the Universal Creme in Wonder Highlight.
